I think weekends at 2 pm are the best times to tweet.
No..wait a minute. I think it is weekdays at 10 am.
No..wait, I read a study that said ….
Confused on when to send that tweet ? I know I was. I had read several conflicting study’s on this very issue. Determined to find some kind of consensus on this I consulted my old friend Google. Maybe if I could just find a couple of surveys that agreed on a best day/time I could use that as my guide.
Well my old friend Google had a surprise for me. I stumbled upon a website that will analyze YOUR own followers and TELL you when the best times to tweet are.
The folks over at Tweriod say that “Tweriod gives you the best times to tweet. We analyse both your tweets and your followers’ tweets. So you can start tweeting when it makes most sense to reach others.” It’s FREE to get a basic report. You can sign in with your Twitter account, enter your email address and in a short period of time you get an email with your results. (it only took about 5 minutes for me)
Is this the end of the story ? Have you found Tweet Nirvana ? Well it certainly gives you an idea of when your followers are online, but remember just presence alone doesn’t guarantee engagement.
Remember that social media is about engagement not just throwing out words and images. For other tips on creating a quality tweet have a look here. While this is certainly a useful tool don’t be afraid to experiment to fine tune your best time.
Give this tool a try in your quest to find your best time to Tweet.
