Building a website can be an intimidating task, but with a variety of tools at your fingertips they can certainly help to easy the pain.
Here are just some of the tools/websites that I have used at sometime and found helpful – just thought I would spread the word to see if some of them might help you.
1. TinyPNG
Need to optimize that .png image quickly ? No sign ups, no email list spamming. Just drag and drop your image onto the webpage and bam, your .png file size is greatly reduced! Just click on the download link they provide and you can get on with your next task. I regularly get a 70-80% reduction in file sizes. (want to make it even easier on yourself – do what I did, make a desktop shortcut to the website).
2. Open Site Explorer
Curious about who links to you – or who you link to ? Try Site Explorer. It has quite a few features, look at what your competition is doing too. You can compare up to 5 other websites in the free area.
3. Ultimate CSS Gradient Generator
Need to add a gradient to your website without using photoshop ? Give Ultimate Gradient Generator a spin and just copy the css and paste.
4. Favicon Generator
Generate your own Favicon for your website and why not view galleries of what others have made.
What tools do you use to make your life a little easier ? Don’t be shy..Leave a reply

Hi,
I like that you mention favicon because mostly people not mention favicon. I personally believe that favicon is also as important as like website logo. Nice reources mate. Thanks for sharing this post.. 🙂
Thanks for the comment Bhavesh. I am always on the look out for more tools. If you have any you can add to the list – would love to have.
